Spartan Surfaces is looking for a dedicated Accounting Collections Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Bel Air, MD. This in-office role is integral to managing our financial operations and ensuring the health of our receivables.

What You'd Be Doing:

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and take necessary actions to encourage timely payments.
• Investigate historical data for each debt or bill, contact clients to discuss their overdue payments, and negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle billing and customer credit issues, process payments and refunds, and maintain accurate records of account activity.
• Update account status and collection efforts and regularly report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.

You're Probably a Match If You Have:

• Experience in collections, finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of billing procedures, collection techniques, and applicable laws.
• Proficiency with MS Office and databases; experience with accounting software is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain calm in a fast-paced environment.
